Weed-n-Seed
Annie reported that the Muncie Council of Neighborhoods is struggling with attendance at its meetings. Very few other neighborhoods seem organized enough to send a representative on a regular basis.
The new MPD weed-n-seed liaison officer is Jason Todd. His e-mail address is: jatodd@munciepolice.org
Old Business:
Request made to update the ECNA web site with details of the 2010 OWSF
Next OWSF organizational meeting will be on Thursday 6 May 2010 at 6:30 at 232 N. Monroe.
Discussion of table proposal from DeWayne for money to purchase a water tank for a pickup truck bed to be used to water plantings in the neighborhood.
MSP motion to approve up to $425 for the purchase of the water tank.
Annie
reported that she was mistaken when she reported at the April
meeting about the fee for having a booth at the Minnetrista Farmers
Market. The fee is $10/day or $90/year. Discussion of benefits of
each option. By consensus the per week option was selected.
New Business:
Discussion of our participation with one of the Summer Movie Nights downtown. By consensus we agreed that we should inquire about the possibility with the organizers of the events.
Brief discussion of what we should do about the lights on “Marie's” tree.
DeWayne
reported that a youth was seen walking down Washington Street and
peering into parked vehicles.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm
