The meeting was called to order at 6:10 pm at Blood N Fire Ministries

The Annual July Neighborhood picnic was held at Washington Park.

Attendance was about 125 people and was a big success.

September 12 is the Fall Neighborhood Clean up

Mayor going for stimulus money for new downtown fire station


Weed-N-Seed

National Night Out is August 4 at 6:00 pm at Thornburg Park at Millennium Place

Meet at Washington Park and walk over to Madison and down to the park as a

neighborhood group. Target is the National Sponsor

Blood N Fire will be hosting a cookout for the board of directors, police and their families as part of the community policing for the neighborhood collision

New Business

Neighbors next to Lynn have a RV park in the back yard, let kids run in her yard,

and taking all the parking space in the street. We suggested talking the Chuck

Hensley about the problem.


Art Walk is scheduled for Sept 24, 2009, Thursday night we need to plan what we

want to do at the Emily Kimbrough Museum as a part of this event.


Annie is going to write a letter to the Muncie Community School Board members

in favor of naming the old Washington Carver building, after Emily Kimbrough.


MSP motion to spend up to $50 on Round Up to clean up the neighborhood weeds.


MSP motion to spend up to $50 on new T-shirts for neighbors that help with events and have moved into the neighborhood. These are T-shirts with the ECNA fence logo.


MSP motion to pay for half of each person that goes canoeing on August 30 with the neighborhood. Each person must help clean up the neighborhood two out of the four Sunday’s in Aug. Meeting time for clean up is from 10:00 am to noon.

MSP motion to spend up to $50 for picnic after canoeing at Marie’s daughter home in Daleville. Marie will take care of picnic arrangements.
